The Migrant Hub Inc. with the support of KUAM and MECCA Inc. is holding its first Kulcher FoodFest in Werribee from 10am December 12, 2009. The festival will showcase the culinary contribution of our diverse community, including food from Malaysia and Indonesia. Unique to the event are the kulcher houses where ethnic groups promote their culture, display and sell their cultural products to the community in their traditional attire. The Malay community will be represented in this event. Kulcher Foodfest hopes to bring together the various ethnic communities in our multicultural society thereby creating more opportunities to build closer relationships and promote social inclusion. The festival will be held at the Sistems Golf Complex and will include a mini-golf, putting and driving range competition, cultural presentations, arts & craft, a variety of stalls, a flea market and amusement rides for children.
