For the first time ever, KUAM organized a theater play for its annual cultural event. This event saw 130 audiences, and took about 30 behind-the-scenes committees. The play took place at Melbourne City Conference Centre at 8 PM on a Saturday night (15/10/2016). The show brought the audience through a quirky and heart-stopping journey of Mawar, a kampung girl, and Ryo Hayuki, a Japanese soldier during World War II, set in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. SPI 2016 was held at Jasper Hotel, Elizabeth St. Attendees were around 60 people from different universities around Melbourne city. The tentative for SPI this year: Career Workshop carried by Dr. Hj. Zainol, a motivational speaker. Youth Talk/Sharing Session: The topic "Social Media Literacy & Etiquette" carried by Ibdilillah Ishak, EXCO of UMNO Youth Malaysia, Chairman of Social Media Bureau UMNO Youth MY, Deputy Chairman of Malaysia Social Media Chambers, as well as Setiausaha Sekretariat Biro Pelajar Luar Negara. It was a blast on that Sunday, 31st of July! We had over 900 attendees consisting of different races - Malaysians and Australians both! The event started at 12.00 PM and ended about 4.00 PM. Rewang Day was held a day before, with total volunteers of 29 lovely souls in the morning session and another 22 in the evening session. Everyone took part in preparing the ingredients and turning it into such tasty dishes. We had ayam masak merah, kuah kacang and soto as our main menu. The event was a collaboration of three amazing team, KUAM, Ehsan Victoria and MASCA Victoria. Kuliah Mega Melbourne 2016 was held on 28 May from 6.30 PM to 9.30 PM at Australian Muslim Social Services Agency (AMSSA) in North Melbourne. The guest speakers were Encik Izzat Roslan, Timbalan Pengerusi ISMA Australia and Encik Shahrul Aman, Naib Presiden IKRAM with an outstanding moderator, Ms Madihah. The topic discussed was "Unity among Muslims: Is it achievable?", chosen by Project Director, Ms Asilah Arifen. The discussion touches on the issues of modern Muslims in having different views towards religion practices while urging modern Muslims to stand together despite our differences.
